MBK 4550 is a closed cell Vinyl Nitrile Foam that is virtually indestructable. It is resistant to fire, chemicals and absorps weather, oils and other fluids. It has good shock absorption and vibration dampening, and provides good load bearing qualities while maintaining a permanent positive seal. Typical applications include thermal pipe wrap insulation, HVAC systems and weatherproofing.
Vinyl Nitrile Foam is available in black or gray sheets with or without adhesive and in various densities and thicknesses, ranging from 1/8" to 1". Custom adhesive backing, sizes, shapes and configurations available upon request.
